The beautiful Rose Garden is managed by Hullbridge Parish Council
and can be found at the end of Ferry Road adjacent to the River Crouch
and a short stroll from Pooles Lane car park. This is a lovely area
to watch the world go by on one of the many benches provided. The
Centenary Walk starts at this location and follows the River footpath to Brandy
hole.
In the early part of 2023 a duck and swan feeder was installed at the
Rose Garden, which was both supplied and maintained by the Feed the Ducks Initiative.
This feeder dispenses a balanced and nutritious feed for both ducks and swans
and payment is made via contactless debit or credit card. 10% of the
proceeds are given back to the community to help fund new projects in our
community. We do hope you enjoy using the duck and swan feeder.
More details on the duck and swan feeder initiative can be found here: https://www.feedducks.com/explore-the-feed-ducks-initiative
You can see the swans and ducks and children go crabbing here; please be aware that the river slip way is also at this location, so at times is busy with boat launching and the footpath does not have any fencing adjacent to the river and at low tide there is a considerable drop.
