Kendal Park Nature Reserve

Hulbridge Parish Council maintains Kendal Park Nature Reserve which covers almost 9 acres, this is mainly woodland predominantly Ash. The River Crouch is on the northern side which is designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the Essex Estuaries Special Protection Area (SPA).

The central part of the Reserve you will find an open meadow with wild flowers adjacent to a wildlife pond with a pond dipping platform. Near the pond is a picnic seating area.                      

 

Around the Reserve you will find an array of benches, a bug hotel, bird / owl boxes as well as the recent Covid snake. 

We hope that you will enjoy this special place, but please use the designated rubbish / dog bins, keep dogs on a lead and observe the Country Code. .

Kendal Park Nature Reserve Management Plan 2024-29 


Hullbridge Parish Council has a management plan for the reserve with a programme for coppicing work.   We unfortunately do have Ash Tree Die Back which is being monitored. 

 

 

There have been many improvements made in Kendal Park to make this area the best natural resource for wildlife as well as making it as enjoyable as possible for residents and visitors

A Badger hut area has been created by our Maintenace team.
