The Parish Council provides a surprisingly wide range of quality services for its residents, from the playground to the open spaces including Kendal Park Nature Reserve, our outdoor gym, allotments, right down to our bus shelters, car park, toilets, floral displays, benches, footpaths and salt/grit bins, not forgetting our Community events. We also offer residents free use of one of our six wheelchairs for short-term use (please contact the Parish Office)
Please see the menu to the right for more information about some of the specific services and facilities offered by the council.
Over 80's Christmas Parcels
The Parish Council has been delivering Christmas food parcels for residents aged 80 and over for more than a decade and it has always been a huge success. The joy and gratitude from the residents who receive the parcels makes doing this such a worthwhile cause. We are grateful to all volunteers and donations, in particular the Green Star Co-op on Ferry Road who have supported this iniative for the last 4 years with food donations and food bags.
In 2024 the Parish Council delivered 300 Christmas Parcels
with the support of the Green Star Co-op. Any resident aged 80 and over
qualifies, so please contact the Parish Office if you or anyone you know now
qualifies for our list for 2025. Please note if you have previously received a
parcel, you will automatically be on this year’s list!
